Questions & answers
Where will I be interviewed?
Most interviews will take place Nov/Dec and you will be interviewed in English by a Eurocamp or Keycamp member of staff in The Netherlands. If you have applied as part of a school group then we will come to your school to interview you, if there are a large number of students. For smaller groups, we will interview you in Rotterdam at Zadkine College. If you are applying solo then you will join one of our interview days in Amersfoort in the New Year.
Can I choose where I work?
At the interview you can say where you would like to be placed but we make the decision based on your language skills, the dates you are available, the number in your group and after discussion with your Tutor.
Do I need to speak a foreign language?
We would like you to be able to speak the language of our main customers, Dutch and English, but an extra language would be a big advantage – especially German!
Where will I live?
Accommodation is provided by Eurocamp or Keycamp in the same type of tents as our customers, you could be sharing with up to 2 other members of your team.
What about food?
We do not provide meals and it is your responsibility to organise this for yourself. On some sites the team cook and eat together, on others you will cook for yourself.
Will I have to wear a uniform?
We provide you with either a Keycamp or a Eurocamp uniform – depending on which company you are working for. It is your responsibility to keep it clean and look after it.
How am I paid?
You are paid directly into your Dutch Bank account every month.
How will I travel to the campsite?
Your travel will be organised and paid for by ewp. Depending on where you are placed and how many are travelling in the group – you will travel by either plane, coach or train.
Am I insured?
ewp will provide you with full insurance cover.
What do I do now?
